What do board members do?
Be a member of Cooperative Performance (financial assistance available)
Meet once a month (currently virtually)
Participate on committees (fostering community, member functions etc, website, social media)
Participate in planning performances, readings, fundraising
Project manage individual shows working directly with artists
Share your unique talents (tech savvy, graphic design, money genius, marketing, fundraising)
And most importantly, share a dedication to developing new ideas with a variety of artists
We believe our organization should reflect our community, and as such we are particularly interested in building a diverse and inclusive board. We especially encourage those who identify with historically underrepresented groups to apply.

Andrea Chastant Burkholder teaches, performs, and choreographs aerial and contemporary dance, focusing on collaborating with cross-disciplined artists since the 1990s. She is also a fully certified Pilates instructor and a Wisconsin Master Naturalist volunteer. With her husband and collaborative partner, Daniel, Andrea strives to find ways to allow for open access to the arts.
Eric has served on the board of Cooperative Performance for five years and as a member since its inception. He has lived in Milwaukee his entire life, including attending UW-Milwaukee where he received a BFA in Acting and BA in Theater Education.
Corrie is a Milwaukee-born and Boston-bred theater artist and manager, working at the intersection of art and technology as a lighting designer, venue technician, and nonprofit IT administrator. Corrie holds a BA in Theater from Emerson College and a professional certificate in Arts Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Alan is a stage director and designer who has worked with many of the fine theatre companies in Milwaukee, as well as designing a handful of shows off- and off-off- Broadway. In his other life, he serves as a guest relations specialist for one of the largest entertainment destinations in the Midwest.
Kelly, a founding member of Cooperative Performance, was born and raised in Milwaukee and is committed to collaborating within the local creative community to create new works and build relationships to help build a sustainable environment for all artists to explore and create. Kelly studied Acting and Theatre at Mason Gross School of the Arts - Rutgers University, New Jersey.
Joel has been performing professionally for over 40 years, singing loudly and having fun on stage, TV, radio, and film. He is also a Cooperative Governance consultant, working with co-op boards and leaders across the country in various types of businesses. He loves combining his passion for the arts and cooperatives with the CP board of directors.
